Writing
Get ready for the writing test! It's a writing week!
Monday and Tuesday, we will work with RAFT techniques to help us break down a writing prompt in an organized way. We'll also be analyzing student essays from our workshop, looking at sample introductions, conclusions, and detail paragraphs.
Wednesday is the PSAT (and a half day to rest your brain.)
Thursday and Friday will be our second Benchmark essay. I'd like you to use your RAFT technique and other skills that we have learned such as clustering, brainstorming and using Venn Diagrams before you actually write your essay. Plan before you write!
You will have both days to complete the essay so that you have enough time. Bring your outside reading, as we will have time for SSR when you finish your essay.
